I help people identify thoughts and behaviors associated with insomnia, and inspire them to increase their vitality, energy, and mental focus. I will coach you with an individualized plan which may involve relaxation techniques, sleep hygiene, sleep mantras, sleep compression, and other well-established strategies which make people feel better. I received my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Miami and all of my research was conducted in the Behavioral Medicine program in the Department of Clinical Psychology. I am a Licensed Psychologist in the state of California (PSY #25414).
People that have worked with me in the past tell me that I’m easy to talk to and offer a non-judgmental and open atmosphere. Many of my past clients had already seen several medical practitioners without improvement. I understand that sense of helplessness, people's irritability from sleep deprivation, and their often coexisting poor mood. Even in the face of people's significant frustration, they tell me that I am finally the correct health practitioner who can help them. When people sleep better, this dramatically increases the probability of improving a person’s quality of life, relationships, mood, concentration and performance, and the likelihood of engaging in activities such as socializing or exercise.
I am able to help you reach
improved exercise, nutrition, and sleep. These are the foundations of improved
well-being. I’ve had the pleasure of working side by side with well-respected
experts in the field. Your program is individualized to fit your unique needs
and goals. I love my work, and I hope to help you in an atmosphere of respect,
caring, and competence.
